Established in 1992, located on Kunnathur Road, Perundurai, Erode – 638053, off the Salem-Kochi National Highway 544. Formerly known as IRT Perundurai Medical College, originally set up under the Institute of Road Transport by the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation. In 2019, the Tamil Nadu Government took it over and renamed it Government Erode Medical College. Affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, approved by NMC. MBBS annual intake is 100 seats. Spread over 308+ acres.
